Header Question
How hard is it to do a tune-up when you have headers? Do you have to unbolt the headers or what?

Re: Header Question
What type of headers are you looking at? Most of the time, plug access is easier when you have headers. Getting around the stock manifolds are usually tough. I know this is true with longtubes, but I'm not sure about shorties.

Re: Header Question
you'll have one or two spark plugs that are a little more difficult to get to... but its not something that you should be that worried about. just make sure you buy the right wires, angled or straight, depending on which you need.

Re: Header Question
i have slp headers on my 350 and it's just the back two near the firewall that are still kinda hard to get to.. but i just jack the car up a little and get at that shiznit from under. I sure wouldn't avoid buying headers just cause of that.
oh yea, and my headers are 1 3/4 so they are thicker than most.

Re: Header Question
I have the SLP 1.750" primaries and can do all of mine from the top. The headers are mated to a pair of Trickflow heads with angled plugs...that will make a difference.

Re: Header Question
there is a custom made socket you can get that makes it much easier. its a bored out and shortened socket that fits over the spark plug hex head, and allows the plug to go all the way through, and has a 3/4 hex on the outside to put a box wrench on. makes spark plug changes a breeze. i still have to get to #6 and #8 from undernieth though. i have edelbrock TES headers.
