Question 2004 Malibu turn signal intermittent

2004 Malibu LS - Turn signals intermittent. Have already replaced signal switch and hazard switch. Still intermittent. Where do we go next?

Re: 2004 Malibu turn signal intermittent

Common problem in '04 and '05 Malibus, discussed to death in here in other threads.

Front parking lamps act as Daytime Running Lights (switched to low-beams for '06) and both the bulbs and the bulb housings burn out quickly. You might need new front parking lamp housings.

Rears burn out quickly too, but in my experience that's just because they used cheap bulbs at the factory.

Check the bulb contacts, they may need to be pulled out some to make better bulb contact.

Re: 2004 Malibu turn signal intermittent

I know it's been discussed to death. I did check out all the tips I could find and thought they were all checked before I posted. But...

This is my son's car and his father-in-law is helping him with it. I already asked if they checked all the bulbs, connections, sockets etc. He said they had, but I think I should check them myself. I hate to do it but it looks like I'm gonna have to step in & start over with the basics. Thank you.
