changing rear wheel cylinders on 95 grand am gt
I took off the bolts and the brake line going the wheel cylinder. I had it loose but it seemed like there was no space to get it out...do u have to force them out??? I even took off the entire backing plate with the 4 torx bolts to no avail...my best guess is that im going to have to force them out but to get the new ones on are going to be a bitch then...right?

Re: changing rear wheel cylinders on 95 grand am gt
they are probly rusted to the mount, try taping/hitting it with a hammer! Thiers just the two bolts holding it on, and teh brake line.
Also you might have to remove the brake pads and other parts in there to get it out. ![]() hope that helps

No it was definitely loose, there just didnt seem to be enough room to get it out....The portion where the brake line screws into doesnt clear...When it gets a little warmer Im going to go at it again and try forcing it out somehow.

You need to bend the retainer tabs on the wheel cylinder before it will release. A small pry bar or large screw driver works well.
