underglow lights are illegal in NY right?

and in what other states are they illegal

You can have them on while parked in a parking lot. You CANNOT have them on while driving on the roads in NY legally. I still see some people doing it, but there asking for a ticket. NY is a bastard state i'll tell ya that much when it comes to modified cars. Get to know someone who does inspections, it will make your life easier

I'm pretty sure the rule applies for all states.

They're illigal here in California too, any neon for that matter. I got a ticket for a neon licence plate ring a few years back.

they are illegal in ny and nj. quite a few of my friends got pulled over for it in nji don't believe they're illegal in fl though. i see people driving with them on all the time around here. they could be, but i've never seen anyone pulled over for it. i think they're only illegal if they're red or white.
