'99 GT Ribs
I'm thinking about converting my bumpers and side ribs into the GT style and I have a couple of issues.
1st, are the GT ribs held on the same way as the SE ribs are? With that adhesive foam or whatever it is? 2nd, What pieces do I need to do this for the doors (coupe version)? It looks like there's 1 piece for the actual door, 1 on the fender, 1 on quarter panel, and the side skirts? On one picture I saw it actually looked like the latter 3 pieces were connected in 1 piece. Also, what year GAGT's will have these ribs? |

Re: '99 GT Ribs
1999-2001 i think are 3 ribed, the new are smooth.
Thier are several pieces. Check in the Tips and Maintenance sub forum for the parts lists, it has up to 2003 and also has part #'s. ![]() They are tough to get off the car too. Make sure the surfaces are super clean or the 3M tape wont stick well. Good Luck

Re: '99 GT Ribs
if you are converting from the SE bodystyle moldings to the GT, you can look from 99-05 they all stayed the same. If you do find a set on another Grand am just becareful you don't bend the side moldings or else they won't seat properly on the car and the tape won't hold. Also like XI said make sure teh paint is good and clean or again it won't stick.
