95 Voyager front driveline knocking

When making a right hand turn today in a Wal-MArt parking lot the front end suspension or driveline suddenly made a knocking noise,(this wasn't the clicking like the CV shafts will do while turning but felt just like a 4 wheel drive pickup locked into 4 wheel drive, binding at turns). Leaving the parking lot we made 2 left hand turns straight for about 300 feet then a right hand curve and straightened out again going approximaterly 25mph, front end shaking badly. Turned right again at a roundabout and stopped. I shoke the van on both sides and looked underneath but couldn't tell anything. Took off for home and the vehicle straightened out, made left and right hand turns withut reproducing the problem.

To me it seems like it is a front wheel bearing or bad ball joints.

Any ideas on problem

Thanks

Re: 95 Voyager front driveline knocking

UPDATE:
I inspected the cv shfts on thursday and the driver side inner boot was freshly torn, grease had started to come out.
Friday I removed and replaced driver and passenger side cv shafts and has not repordeced the problem since.

I did not have to drain transaxle, with the vehiclesetting at a salnt the fluid loss with maybe 1/2 pint. I also recommend either unloading the coil springs or disconnecting the sway bar from lower control arm, Make a lot easier to put the spindle back on the ball joint. (Just my opinion)

Hope this helps someone sometime.
