villager head

head will not seperate from block. all bolts etc. removed

it's a 1995 mercury villager left or rear head (engine is side mounted)

timing belt and all bolts i could find is off

Do you have a manual? I assume you tried using a bar and putting it in one the intake ports and giving it a tug, lot a times the gasket sticks to the block and the head causing hard removal.

If to don't have a manual look in the free online service manual maybe there is something you missed, its happened to me a number of times.

Looking at the online service manual, it shows a head bolt outside of the head, to me it looks like it is on the drivers side bottom of head. Should be a total of 14 head bolts. Manual also states NOT to use existing head bolts, all bolts and washers are to be replace with new.
