How do I program a 00+ year Keychain remote pad

I just purchased a remote keyfob for my 01 Mercury Sable. I Need instructions on how to program this 4 button remote. i searched but didnt find anything for 00, 01 cars just 98 and older. Any help greatly appreciated. - JT
