Re: headers
Not enough to make it worth the effort... If you really want headers, get good ones. For the most part, Hooker is considered the best for a car of that era. "Comps" are adequate for up to 500 HP. Anything beyond that should use "SuperComps". There are other brands that are good, too. Doug's, Mad Dog immediately come to mind.
IMO, shorties are for bragging rights. Long-tube headers will make more power, which is really WHY one puts headers on their car. Shorties ar also easier to install, so you'll hear how great they are from others. Anything worthwhile is seldom "easy". There are far better choices for mufflers, too. Glasspacks are annoying, IMO. A good "turbo" mufler will give a more serious sound without all the "loud". Make more power, too... Jim |

Re: headers
Don't know who told you long tubes won't "fit", but they're wrong. Small headers for a '69 Chevelle with a small block will fit fine on your later E-body. Actually, anything that fits the last A-body ('73-'77) will fit the E-body as well.
As for the price and part, you get what you pay for... Jim |
