olds alero servive engine light flashes

there is suddenly a miss while car is ideling and service engine light is on when i accelerate it seems to run fine but light flashes? I changed fuel filter ,but i think its either electical or a vacume leak? I just put plugs and wires on befor xmas? good plugs, I guess i will have to take it and get it pluged into machine to find out, hopefully! any suggestions?

You are correct, you will need to get it scanned to figure out whats causing this.
Its most likly a misfire, but it still needs reset to run properly.
