what tranny do I have
I have a 91 chevy k2500 with a 5.7. 4x4, and I just wanted to know what tranny came stock in that truck..

I used to have a 91 1/2 ton two wheel drive and I now have a 92. They both have the 700R4 trasnmission. This is identical to the 4L60, but NOT the 4L60E (electronic version). Chevy started using the 4L60 in 93-94 model years and the 4L60E later, I think in 96.

Asb said call the dealer with vin or id the pan on transmission.
Some also used the 4l80E. MT
