Speed Sensor 1993 V6

How do I locate and change the speed sensor on a 1993 lincoin signature ? or where can I find service guide with pics on net? lincoinsonline dident seam to show what I need.

You can get a free copy of the 1993/94 FSM from my web page...

Hello again onetimehunter...

You sent a few emails and I accidentally flushed them, sorry.

The guys at lincolnsonline have some great responses to this same issue in a thread >> here <<
Read through that thread, all the way down and you'll have a real good idea what you're up against.

What I've gathered; this sensor is behind the engine, on the transaxle, under the exhaust manifold. It's a bitch to reach, and even more difficult to R&R.
Loosening the motor mounts, and lifting (jacking) the engine is a must.

In my previous post I've added an instruction link for that FSM download.


Here's a few drawings from that FSM that should give you some ideas as well.
I tried to add a touch of red where that VSS is mounted.
