2000 Cirrus - Dies when driving

2000 Cirrus Lxi 2.5L

So about a month ago when I was driving the engine just died. It will sometimes do it when I'm driving at 60 - 80 km/h or when idling. No pattern.

I have had changed the distributor and crank shaft sensor and it seemed to run fine for a week and then it started doing it again. I read others peoples comments so I'm looking into the fuel pump/filter as being the culprit.

Also, it is showing no error codes when they put on the reader. It first dies, then the engine light comes on leaving no trace of the problem.

Suggestions ??? Thanks a bunch.

Signed frustrated.

Fuel filter is a function of miles driven, unless you got a particularly nasty tankful of gas!

Only other thing I changed besides your two was the computer, but have a dealer diagnose it precisely. You have to turn your old one in as a core on a remanufactured unit so there are no returns, just a one year / 12,000 mile warranty.
