free-running or not?

I have an 87 Pathfinder SE with the 3.0 V6. I broke down on the highway the other day because of what i belive to be the timiming belt breaking/malfunctioning. Could anyone tell me whether or not this engine is free-running or interference, so I can figure out if there will be valve damage? I believe the engine is the VG30i. Thank you.

Re: free-running or not?

Sorry to inform you that these are interference motors. Hopefully the damadge will have been kept to a minimum.
