Hey, Im new here. Right now im 17 and have a '96 jeep. I really want a late model muscle/pony car. I really like the 1997-2002 trans ams.(ws6) Are there any other cars i should look at anad what would be a good price fopr one in mint condition and relativley low milage

Hey, if you like the T/A, go for it. They are nicely depreciated by now, and are pretty cheap considering the performance you will get.
They are more rare, more sophisticated and IMO more interesting than the late model Mustang (excluding the current model)

Re: Which one??

Don't know about your local market but 98+ WS6 trans ams carry a couple grand premium in my market. You can find a regular LS1 f-body for anywhere between 8 and 10k here whereas WS6 seem to start about 12 and go to 15 for one in normal condition. Camaro SS seem to be a bit cheaper. If you just want it for the vicious hood scoop, you might just look into what the hood would cost you. You could possibly save a few grand that way.

Alternatively you could look at 04-06 GTOs. 04s are under 15k here now and 05/06 are just getting under 20k. Or if you want to spend more 03/04 cobras give you good value. But you are looking at about 23k min for them. And I kind of doubt a single one being sold hasn't been beat to hell.

A 2002 Stang GT would be perfect choice if you want to own one...
