98 Mont Carlo po108

My Monte Carlo has a code of 108. I looked it up and it looks like the
Mass Air Flow Sensor might be bad or hose leaking. The trouble is where is it
on the Car? Any help out there would be appricated

Re: 98 Mont Carlo po108

Its 3.8L V6
I did some more checking last night and beleave I have found the Sensor.
?? I talked to guy at auto shop and he advised that I try to clean it
and check all hoses in the area. I have to get a torx securitry driver
to get the screws out. Will try that tonight. Is there anything else I might
check. And will the Check Eng. Light go out when I fix the trouble or does
it have to be reset some how? Thank You in advance.

Do not touch the actual MAF sensor wire (the MAF sensor. The MAF sensor is located inside the air intake tubing.) There is are 2 wires that plug into a small block/box outisde of the air intake tubing. Thats the MAF sensor location, if you have a can of air, blow it slowly against it, to clean it off. MAF sensors do go bad, it could be bad. They arn't cheap..

I do not belive the Check Eng light will go away by itself. But you can disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes and that will reset it.
