Traction control question
I have been doing a search on this and from what I have read, I am thinking my issue is normal, but I would like to make sure. I drove my wife's 01 GP GT today, which I rarely do. I was dealing with the snow that hit Ohio over the weekend and the hill beside my house. Car got stuck on the hill and the wheels started spinning. Motor seemed like it lost power and started sputtering, as if it had a miss or something. Had to drift back down hill and get another run at it. Hit it from another angle and went up with little problem. And honestly, I wasn't paying attention to dash, so I don't know what was lit up or anything. I do know the TCS was on as it always is. Thanks for any advice.

Re: Traction control question
Sounds normal to me. Once front wheel spin is detected the system will reduce engine power as you experienced and may upshift the autotransaxle. Also, you should get a "low trac" light at the DIC when the system is active after detecting wheelspin.

Re: Traction control question
OK, thanks. Just a little jumpy about something being wrong with another car, seeing as I just had to have the rear end in my pickup rebuilt!
