Girl Problem-What To Do?

I have a problem. I found a girl I really like, shes hot, smart, funny, likes cars etc. She has an on and off bf, but my buddy is being an asshole and wants to go out w.her for revenge on his ex.
Should I tell her I like her, and ask her out before he does, or should I let it slide. By doing this I may ruin my friendship with her and possibly him, but I really like this girl, and he is doing this to spite me and his old gf.

Two reasons why you should do it:

1. Your friend only wants to go out with her to spite another girl, which is wrong if you ask me. Most likely their relationship wont last too long seeing as he probably only thinks her to be attractive and is doing it because he can.

2. YOU like this girl for what she is and what she is in to. You could be a good bf to her and if things dont work out, there is always friendship there.

Your friend doesnt seem like a good friend if he doesnt want you to go out with her so he can get revenge. Who cares what he wants man, what do you want?

go for it cuz your friend is going after her for all of the wrong reasons and that isn't acceptable man if you're feelin her carpe diem man and go for it b4 he gets it str8 up that guy is stupid

Thanks for the input dudes. My friend caved and told me he was really lonely and feeling down(his girlfriend did some bad things behing the scenes) and after seeing my side of the story, he sympathised with me.

Don't care about anyone else, just tell her you like her. If she likes you to, then you're living the high life. If she doesn't, oh well at least she knows you like her. Don't worry about your friend, he's probarbly making shit up.

you let your friend date her because you haven't hooked up with her and he makes a move.... instead of telling her how you feel about her also, you are a good friend to your boy and tell her he's a good guy.....

he sleeps with her.

then he dumps her.

then, since you still like her you go out with her.
you fall in love with her

you begin to hate your friend for what he did
you stop talking to your friend, that friendship is now officially over, you want to pretty much kill him (not literally but you know what I mean)

you stay with her but can never get past what has happened. it bothers you VERY MUCH.

that situation really happened to me. then when we finally broke up, my best friend (another guy all together) slept with her. we were not together anymore but I always will love her and he knows it. I can't believe he slept with my old lady. I would never have done something like that to him. I'll spare the details.

last three guys who posted here: derek is my friend in real life, outside of AF, and since this thread is 3 or 4 months old, he solved the problem...so no real point in posting on here anymore. but good thoughts none-the-less.
