Re: will this give my engine mor power?
not exactly more power but it'll speed up the rev's of the engine, soo.. I guess ill put it this way 'quicker power' but!, you're also speeding up other items along that belt of which will reduce their wear and durability
a bigger throttle body will give you some horsepower for sure, and yea if you drive it like a feather you wont notice much gas mileage difference

Re: will this give my engine mor power?
ok, cool, so it would speed up the rps and other things on the belt and they would be bad or good?

Re: will this give my engine mor power?
about the pulley, since its a smaller lightweight pulley it will be spinning less thus making the alternator push out as much power as it can, so lets say if you got the pulley and put in some neons and you have a sound system in your car. your volts will most likely read lower than normal cuz so much strain is being put onto the alternator. the pulley is great for faster revs and it might not give like 10 HP but the way i see it every little bit counts.
about the Throttlebody, RSM makes the 62mm Throttlebody which is completely assembled, Then you have Milzymotorsports.com and wot-tech.com/shop whom which both sponsor TCE throttlebodies which come in sizes 62mm and 65mm personally i hate RSM they have horrible feedback and the TCE is polished and looks great, The thing about these sites is they can either sell you a fully assembled throttlebody or you have the option of just the throttlebody itself and you have to install the new throttlebody plate. you can go that route no problem if you have a dremel. When it comes to picking a size, it doesnt really matter the difference in how much air is sucked in from a 62mm and a 65mm is not that great of a difference and theres also the point as to how much the manifold actually lets in. more air = more power but more air is not always good.

well put, you could do a 62mm easy from TCE and feel gains just as a 65mm would... your engine is only sucking in so much air, bigger may not always be better, even though that option is there.. unless you're doin some serious port work and engine mods, theres no real point of such a huge TB.... I am one of the lucky few to have a RSM 62MM TB, bought from ebay... its basically the same design as stock, just 'bigger'... and it still has that stupid oval, having a cold air intake doesnt help as the silicone wants an O shape not 0 sideways... getting it all adjusted sucks good luck with your finds!

Re: will this give my engine mor power?
if i use a larger tb and put an cold air intake on it, will I have to do anything to the computer at all? I heard that some cars have air in the intake box and use that when you floor it or somthing because it does not have enough air instantly. would I have to do anything like that? thanks.

Re: will this give my engine mor power?
no changes to the stock PCM would be needed if you were to just have a bigger TB and cold air intake... although an aftermarket PCM would do some small tuning of which would compliment the cold air intake and bigger TB...
a catback exhaust would also be well worth it, as while every engine needs to breathe... it needs somewhere to dump all that taken air... I'd consult milzymotorsports.com about their PCM and functions, if you're looking to go that route with a bigger TB, they may be able to do a simple custom tune and get more bang for your buck...

Re: will this give my engine mor power?
ok thats cool, I have flowmaster on which is effecting my car on that end cuzz of the freer flowing exhaust. I am trying to keep my budget like around 200 for the first thing right now which will probably be a TB, but I also want my car to get still as good gas milage as possible since I am a poor collage student ;-) but if I want to get movin, I really want to move though. So I want to keep power and gas milage balanced. its getting like 270 - 300 or more to a tank if I drive grandma style. My goals are intake and then exhaust modifications. I dont want turbo or super charged cuzz thats cheeten. hehe

Re: will this give my engine mor power?
well if your going with a bigger throttlebody, your going to what to port the upper intake manifold plenum to the size of the throttlebody. its not mandatory its just if you want the full effect of it youd need to match the plenum with the TB opening. both milzy and WOT-tech port the manifolds for good prices you can even just send it in to get the plenum ported and not the whole thing since the manifolds already flow enough air through them. just my

but a 65mm for now with any cold air intake that 'works' good will do the job... I went the same route almost, cold air/exhaust.. then got the DHP PCM, and felt a biggg difference
