Pi Dash

HAS ANYONE LOOKED INTO THE COST OF A BEACON AND THE CLUB EXPERT SOFTWARE? ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS?

Seems it's pretty expensive for a system that isn't very user friendly. I think ditching the Pi and going with Aim, Stack or one of the other manufactures may be a better option. Newer systems incorporate GPS. No track side beacon to set up and forget at the track. Some OT groups frown on setting up beacons anyways.

I hate having a seperate page for each sensor. I had a Stack 8100m with a predictive lap timer in my SRF. It was a much better piece then the Pi.

Bob Turnpage was head of Panoz school Data and one of the head Instructors, he has the software for our cars, the Pi Unit have a code on the rear of each unit, this is the code for the software. he might be able to help, he can be contacted thru PBOC south east. He is now Pres. of PBOC for Florida. I talked to him last race day and he said he would help.
