Transmission problem
I have a 1997 Chevorlet Cavalier Z24 with a transmission problem. When I put the transmission in drive it kills the motor. I jacked the car up and put in drive and the wheels go. What is my problem?
thanks... |

Re: Transmission problem
It's not likely the transmission. More likely, you have an engine problem. Are you running on all 4?

Re: Transmission problem
Sounds like it could be your TCC Solenoid. This is for torque converter lockup at higher speeds. What happens is the TCC Solenoid shorts out and stays on. It's like trying to start out in high gear.
Hope this might help. |
