I bought a OBD11 and when i oped the booklet there were no codes for a volkswagen. Is there a certain type of OBD i should get or are the "generic" codes in the book okay?

Re: Which OBD

All manufacturers were required to use the same codes for all makes after 96 with the implementation of OBDII and use the same connector located in the same general area (or as close as design limits permit)
