Horn Not Working

I got into an accident that damaged the front passenger side of my car. The hood, the bumper, passenger headlight assembly and the passenger side fender were all replaced.

My horn still worked after the accident, even though it sounded a little funny.

I got my car back from the collision shop and the horn doesn't work. Is it possibly something they did, or did it just give out? Where do I check to see if it was disconnected? Where is the horn actually located?

thanx

SORRY WRONG FORUM!!!

Re: Horn Not Working

you have a horn relay, probably in the main fuse box under the hood. Maybe swap that relay for another thats the same for the time being and try the horn again.

Then check your invoice to see if the body shop replaced the horn, because I think in GP's, the horn is on the passenger side up front, right where your car was damaged. If they replaced it, then bring the car back and tell them the replacement horn isnt working.

You can also remove the passenger side headlamp, and make sure that everything is connected and if you have a DVOM you can have a buddy activate the horn as you check to voltage.

Re: Horn Not Working

According to your profile, this car is an Olds Intrigue (I assume this is why you edited your post to say wrong forum), but the horns are in the same spot. They are right where your car was damaged at the passenger side front corner. Poke your head under there if you don't want to take it back to the collision shop and see if they forgot to hook them back up. If nothing is obviously out of order, take it back and let them fix it right.
