Redline vs. Turbo civic

On my way home from school I was driving down the one way and I saw a mid-late 90’s civic with a cf hood coming up behind me. It looked really clean as he got closer, then I noticed that there was a FMIC filling up the bumper! This caught my attention…he gets behind me for a while and then switches lanes to pass me and makes sure that I hear the BOV. My car wasn’t warm yet cause it is only 9º today (it was 50 2 days ago and its supposed to be 45 in 2 more days…go figure) so I just followed him after he pulled in front of me. I was behind him for a while since he was heading the same way I take to get home, but where I usually turn left he went straight and started to go across the bridge. We were the last cars to make it through the light so we were clear from behind, so I pulled up next to him at his chosen speed of 40mph (which is perfect for me by the way). I gave him a quick wave and he looked ahead and dropped it down a gear, and I proceeded to drop to 2nd with him having the jump. Due to the cold pavement I started to spin (what a surprise lol) so I let up a little until I caught traction then hammered it. I pulled back that car length he had from the jump and fricken hit the rev limiter yet AGAIN! I shifted to 3rd at a little over 60 with a half length on him, I kept pulling good until about 90 where I had to let off because there was a car up a ways and I wanted enough room to slow down safely. I looked back right after I hit my brakes and he was about 2 cars back…so I probably had 2.5 – 3 car lengths on him right when I lifted. I thought I did decent considering I let him jump…then spun…then hit the rev limiter haha. I called a friend of mine and he said he knew the previous owner of the car and it has a Greddy turbo pushing 8-10 lbs of boost on what im guessing is a D16, because that’s the setup his 2 other friends are using with their civics. Im curious to run one of the other guys now because he wants to run me I guess, I just hope he doesn’t back down after word gets out. So that was my fun for this cold day…I just want the warm weather to come back

Re: Redline vs. Turbo civic

yeah they deffinatly crack down on you here if they catch you
but its pretty easy to find a nice spot by just driving a few miles out of town

hahaha also, its not necesarily "impossible" to outrun the cops here
me and TorchedStealth have had a few of those close calls.

Re: Redline vs. Turbo civic

yea; well around here the cops drive chargers, most with the srt8 packages, so if ur busted, dont even try.... those bitches pull a 0-60mph in about 4.9-5.2 seconds....

That be nort kota math rite dere! Haha im kidding we dont talk like that...well most of us lol

So last weekend Sid (701-3000gt) raced my friend tyler in his 94 honda accord (not gonna lie its not as slow as you think, but not fast by any means) Sid one, but then he raced my friend's 00 eclipse gt and sadly got walked....so we plan to take back the throne in the redline! Haha until my friend shows me up with his LS1 camaro. Its all for fun though cause we are all friends. We got vids of the races last weekend.

Sorry for letting it out Sid lol

Re: Redline vs. Turbo civic

hahaha, we frown upon numbers in ND
and its alright, we will take back the throne like you said
but yeah our highway patrol and a few sheriffs have the chargers
but around the streets in town its either an impala ss, crown vic, or expedition
and now they are getting these damn lights that go in the headliner of the car so you can even tell its a cop
