Re: Stalling '97 Bravada

Fuel filter? Does it run smooth? What RPM does it idle at?

Re: Stalling '97 Bravada

Does it restart quickly?
Do the dash alarms light up...ABS, seatbelt?
Are the battery connections tight?

Re: Stalling '97 Bravada

My 97 stalls sometimes too. I found it is a problem in the ignition switch. Next time it stalls see if any of your dummy lights are lite. If they all are out just like it would be when you turn the key off it could be your problem as well. With mine I have found if I turn it off and back the lights come back and it will start. Now when the dummy lights are not coming on then it will just crank all day and not start. I have been dealing with it all winter just trying to get as much time out of it as possible. Dealer told me it is a common failure of the ignition module.

Re: Stalling '97 Bravada

Battery lite & abs lite is on
restarts on first try
if I put in neutral turn key it starts
took off cables cleaned and put them back on
no problem w/starting
