Anyone planning to make Audi R8 TDI transkit?

Hi Guys, I think this would be a good seller if any company give an attempt to make this transkit to the Revell R8, what do you think?

Re: Anyone planning to make Audi R8 TDI transkit?

Yeah, sure it's a great idea!

I hope somebody is doing that. I for one have my questions about this car...

Is it the final production version? Will it have that roof?

Because the roof and the rear engine window are completely different from the stock R8 and I think are quite hard to replicate in resin...

Otherwise, yeah, a not-so straightforward conversion... the car is different in many details, scoops, bumpers, engine, rims, brakes, exhausts, intakes, sideskirts, mirrors, wing, extractor...

good luck to anyone

Maybe Revell will do it? It's so kickass and better than the regular version, I'm almost mad that they did the base R8 instead of this one

Geronimo, you may be the MAN for all of us!

As for Bigfrit, I don't exactly know if it would be the final version of the TDI, this was introduced as a CONCEPT earlier today at Geneva Auto Show. But who knows, maybe we'll be lucky!

I think there can be problem with the engine. What enigne is included in the Revell kit?

I will probably make the R8 TDI, but I probably won't make resin copy's.

This because I can't

Here is the original engine, this is reproduced in the Revell kit nicely:

And here is the TDI engine, not the best pics but the only ones I have at the moment.

And some more about the engine bay differences:

And in addition, the TDI has different rims and seats also:

So what do you think?

Hmm

Bodykit and wheels seems not a problem. Only matter of time. Engine and interior is a bit more complicated.

Will you come to Szolnok on the weekend for the contest?

Can't the R10 diesel engine help?

Good idea as for using the R10 TDI engine. As for the interior, I guess it is only the seats that are different, but looks close to the Golf R32 front seats, so probably a copy of the Fujimi kit w/minor mods can work also:

As for the contest this weekend, I did not plan to go as I totally forgot about that, I'm sorry. Would you share some pics after with us? What is your nominee for the contest?
