Question windshield wiper solutions?

I am another T&C owner who has the front wiper problems (only works when using the "wash" button), and have tried the easy fixes (swap relays, swap switch module), but still no normal hi/lo or intermittent operation. They will run several swipes at high speed when the button is pushed, or 1-2 at low speed, so the motor and mechanisms are fine.

I have read dozens of threads about this problem but have not found one where the OP posted the results of his search for a solution. I could assume all of them are still driving with no wipers, but that seems implausible.

SO...what has worked in all of these cases? PLEASE thread starters, if you post a problem, then find a solution...let us know what it is.

Short of replacing the BCM...which I'm not gonna do at those prices for wiper operation I might need 2-3 times a year...I'd like to fnd that elusive "fix".

Re: windshield wiper solutions?

While my 96 was under warranty, the dealer changed both the multifunction swutch and the BCM. Two years later they started again. That was 10 years ago. I just pull the fuse during the summer and live with it the test of the year. 90% of the time they only sweep at startup. In your case a BCM is really the only choice if you want to fix it. Don't count on it lasting forever.
