shock absorbers (again)
I would like to use a thicker fluid in my shocks. I heard that motorcycle fork oil (20W) would do the trick, but I tried that and I didn't notice any difference. Any ideas?

Re: shock absorbers (again)
The original fluid was probably about equal to a 20w fork oil. Are you wanting the shocks stiffer? If that is what you want it's best to change the valving. Although this is a Triumph article the valving is very similar.
http://home.comcast.net/~rhodes/shock.html You could also go to a 30w oil in the shocks but any higher may damage the shocks. Clifton |

Thanks Flash! I laughed when I read your suggestion, as I had just finished doing exactly that. The shocks did seem a little stiffer (by hand). I haven't tried 30w yet.
