88 Bronco II won't start
Hello...
I have a 1988 Bronco II with a 2.9 6 cylinder...it will crank, but am getting no fire...I checked the ignition module and the ignition switch...both seem to be O.K. ... Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.... |

Re: 88 Bronco II won't start
Use a 12volt test light turn the key are you getting 12 volt to the coil positive. If you are getting voltage put the test light on the coil negative have someone try to start the vehicle. If the light doesn't blink buy a pickup for the distributor or a rebuilt unit. If it blinks take the module to Advance or Auto Zone and it tested.
A bad computer ground will cause a no start. Look in the passenger side kick panel by the computer. I'm not sure what year they changed. |
