Question Turn Signal Flasher - Trying to Locate

I am having trouble with my turn signals and have ruled out the fuse and the bulbs. The next thing I want to try is the Flasher for the Turn Signals but I can't locate it. It is not in the fuse box on the side of the dash and I have looked under the driver side dash but have only located some black boxes that I don't know if these might be what I am looking for. Can anyone direct me where to specifically look and what it should look like?

I have a 97 Blazer and my turn signal and hazard flashers are located under the heater A/C controls behind the knee cover. If your hazards work, try swapping that flasher with the turn signal flasher to see if that is the real problem. If that does not fix it, then do a search on the forum for "mutli function switch". This is the switch that operates the turn signals, cruise contol, and wipers. It has been a problem on these vehicles.

Always give year make and model.
Like what is the first thing they ask for when you go to buy parts?
