Rebuilt Transmission code HELP

997 Grand Prix SE- had transmission rebuilt in spirng 2007 - warranty was for 6 months. Before the warranty expired it coded and I brought it back to the shop. They replaced the Torque converter-

a month ago it coded again and they replaced the Torque converter and the valve body and charged me an additional $600 since the warranty had expired

Now It is coding again same code P1870 Transmission shop wants to rebuild it again and I have not even logged 15000 miles

Re: Rebuilt Transmission code HELP

did you see if they would cover the rebuild under warrenty? I think they should be obligated to repair it for free being its only been driven 15,000 miles.

The warranty was for 6 months and the 6 months has passed- I am taking it in tomorrow- to get an estimate- from there I will try to negotiate- sad thing is I do not think I have any real legal recourse but will have to appeal to their sense of fairness.

From my view their workmanship is in question unless they turn up a failed part-

The Valve body and Torque Converter are still under warranty. A month ago they said the transmission was fine I still think the valve body is suspect-

At the same time I got the P1870 Code I got the P0301 code -discovered I had a cracked spark plug- replaced all the plugs and that code disappeared- cleared all codes but the P1870 came back

Is this just coincidence?
