LM spec engines

Does anyone know if you can have your F1 changed to/upgraded to a LM spec engine ?, i presume they must have kept spares for the race cars, or are they not the same engine ?

Re: LM spec engines

Anything can be had for a price I heard somewhere that the 2 road cars supposed to have LM-spec engines (#018 and #073) were the only 2 to have them. Others may know more re the race engines

According to QV500, IIRC, the ex-Larry Kinch 07R was upgraded to LM spec in 2000/01 too ... along with it's transformation from stunning dual paint scheme to run-off-the-mill Papaya.

Re: LM spec engines

It was definitely upgraded to 680BHP - much along the lines of Mr Bridger's. It did not get an actual LM engine. As an aside, I believe it was the first GTR to be converted to road use.

Which one? I though #12R was the first, if not #06R.....

Re: LM spec engines

My info comes from a recent conversation with the then owner. He told me that his was the first full factory conversion - i.e. a complete rebuild and upgrade to "LM" spec. There may have been others prior to this which had a number plate and indicators added.
