Re: Fairly New, With A Fairly Serious ??

I doubt there are any store owners in here. And yes, car stereo is definitely a cut throat business ... your bread and butter (money makers) is a deck and 2 or 4 speakers, prefab boxes and alarms. Most people think of high dollar intalls, but that's not the reality of owning a shop.

those are "internet" brands .... I am guessing he is looking for more mainstream brands.

Re: Fairly New, With A Fairly Serious ??

erm, this isnt hard dude. they are EVERYWHERE. You gotta have a buyin... which with, lets say, Directed electronics. U kno, like one of the bigger auto electronics out there, is, I believe $1200 a quarter. with your buy in tho, you will find most Equipment averages 70-85% cheaper. the mark up is rediculous, and it yields extremely high profitmargins. Thats pretty much how the audio business works with manufectuers...

Re: Fairly New, With A Fairly Serious ??

unfortunately new2 is right, the markups from the middleman is pretty steep. Most dealers can buy stuff on the "gray market" (unauthorized internet reseller) than they can from their distributors.
