I need Help!!

I'm having great trouble drawing a car from 1/4 . Looking onto the front corner. I cant seem to get the transition from the wheel arch to the front bumper it never seems to have depth it just looks like the bumper is perpendicular to the wheel arch! can some body help me?

eventhough I haven't seen it, I can tell you're over-thinking it. rough it in real light...stay loose and massage it into place.

Don't waste time and more importantly energy on a bad...grab a good and do like dodgeball..h__p it into submission. Just sayin post it up and don't sweat it...it's art...have fun.

Nice, ill try and get some sketches up later but I donwant to embarras myself!
Its just the part from the wheel arch all the way around the bumper, always looks as if the bumper goes straight accross as soon as the arch stops!

you will understand if you see!

dont be embarrased, remember, if people can get away with throwing sheep sh** at paper and calling it modern art, i'm sure yours can't be that bad

Re: I need Help!!

Get a model of the car and study it to death from all angles; take notice how parts of the car change as you rotate the model and view it in continuous motion. I prefer 1:18 scale because they are large enough to offer necessary details. Go to ebay and start searching.

Then begin to loosely sketch the car from differing angles quickly and without fear. If you mess up, move on. Don't erase or correct. Start over and become fearless with the pencil and throw practice shots out.

Go now and get a model.....

Re: I need Help!!

A lot of the time it just akward drawing angles like that when it's actually correct. Try using guidelines and vanishing points if you're not already, and be sure to look at the whole picture as you're doing it, not just that one detail.
