Angry 1987 B2000 runabilty issue

i have a 1987 b2000 , that is very hard starting when cold and when it does start it runs real rough at low idle but you run it up and it runs great , as soon as you let off the gas it falls flat on its face , then restarting when you floor the gas it doesnt want to start but if you just crank it without gas it will start , i have put a new fuel filter on it and all new tune up parts , once the truck warms up it runs fine , will idle and has good power it is a 5 spd truck runs great when warm but when cold i just wanna shoot it lol , please can someone help

put a screw driver in your carb to hold the "butterflies "open then try to start it if that works your choke is screwing up
