'97 Mustang Convertible top replacement?

Hi Everyone,
I have a lovely gaping hole in my 1997 Mustang convertible top, and I am considering buying a new top and having a buddy do the job for me. Is this something that can be done with standard tools, or do I have to take it into a shop?

Re: '97 Mustang Convertible top replacement?

your just buying the new vinyl right? if they have done it before its pretty straight forward. If not you need to take it to an upholstery professional or your just going to spend money on weird creases lol. Hope that helps.
