'94 Grand Am not starting

I have a 94 grand am that when you turn the key it will crank the engine but none of the "idiot" lights will come on and it will not fire. Any help or suggestions?

Check all the fuses first

Re: '94 Grand Am not starting

might be that the fuel pump went bad. See if you have electrisity all the way to the spark plug wires. and if none of those, maybe you sdont have enough fuel pressure. and also check to see if you have power to injectors.

Re: '94 Grand Am not starting

No fuel/spark wouldn't cause the "idiot" lights to not come on. My first two places to look (after fuses) would be the instrument cluster and the PCM (and related wiring).
