Car Has no power
I own a 97 grand prix 3800 with 135K. Car ran great before I change the oil. After I changed the oil I tried to turn off the oil manage lite by turning on key, pumped the gas pedal 3(x) like in the oweners manual instructions. Now the car is hard to start , no power, tach flucuates between 750 and 1200 rpms. All most like its out of time now.

Re: Car Has no power
Try this: Remove the ecu fust from in the back of the glove compartment and disconnect the positive lead on the battery. Get in the car and press the brake for a little bit to drain all power from the car. Reconnect everything and start the car. It may run a little rough for a second while the ecu is rereading all of the components but should settle down. Sometimes it helps to reset the ecu if you have any problems and performing some sort of work to the car.
