1995 Monte Temperature Sensor

Just did the head and intake gaskets on my 95 Monte with a 3100 and now the temperature guage doesnt go up. Any suggestions?

disconnect temperature gauge sensor connector....look at gauge... then connect sensor connector to 100ohm resistor to ground does needle move...if not wires or gauge.....it it moves then measure resistance of sender you may had damaged it when doing the repair....at 40deg f should read 7300ohms and at 195deg f should be 240ohms..... if not replace sender sensor unit...
