MT - Suspension question for you

2001 Chevy Tahoe - 105k miles. 4WD LT - 5.3 - T VIN

How can you tell when your intermediate steering shaft is bad? When I make right hand turns (and only right hand turns) I feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel and hear a very subtle bump, bump, bump coming from the front left wheel.

I was thinking tie rods, and someone mentioned idler arm - but wasn't sure if I'd feel it on the steering from those.

Thanks,
Brently

Think I found the answer

MT and everyone else, wasn't trying to slight anyone, think I found the answer by doing a google search.

See the link below. This has been driving my wife nuts for 1 year because she primarily drives the vehicle. My dealer quoted me....ready? replace Center Relay Shaft, inner tie rods, and intermediate shaft, with a final alignment for $939.00.

If Mr. Goodwrench ever sees my truck again they'll be pulling it from a scrapyard to recycle the metal. GM is trying to make up their latest loss of $39 Billion on the backs of people who spend their hard earned money for these cars. What pisses me off even more is the fact that people who aren't comfortable working on their cars end up paying for things they shouldn't.
