Is it the gas

I have a 91 cav. Have just replaced the coils and computer in it. Drove fine for a week now is missing really bad through the driving speed range. Fuel filter is fine. I am thinking I may have bad gas. I did put methol in it and that doesnt seem to have made a difference. Any suggestions?

Re: Is it the gas

How old is the gas in the tank? Gas will start to varnish in about 60 days if not preserved with something like Sta-Bil. Did you store the car and not use a preservative? I store gas for 2 years with a double dose of Sta-Bil and it works just fine. My storage is air tight military surplus fuel containers.

Re: Is it the gas

Gas in the tank is new had filled it up the night before. The car runs fine in idle but as soon as its in driving operation is when it happens. I have tried unhooking all different sensors, I dont even know what I have disconnected but have reconnected eveything back. Nothing has seemed to make a difference. Was out there this morning trying to syphen the gas out and I cant do it through the filling spout so I have diconnected the line underneith and am going to try push the screan out and if I can do that I guess I will try fresh gas. Hell I dont know anymore
