Question Climate control sensor

Does anyone know where the climate control sensor is located ? My temp doesn't change when turning the dial. I thought I would try to clean it off, and maybe spraying the contacts if possible on the dial with some contact spray. I forward and reverse flushed the heater core and put in a new thermostat. I can put the climate control knob in any of the settings for temp. and it doesn't change. If I put it on "cold" it will switch to the air conditioner just doesn't seem to change anything in the normal readings.

Re: Climate control sensor

Yesterday I also put on a new radiator cap. I have good pressure, all hoses are hot, the engine temp is good. Still lukewarm air that doesn't change when turning the climate control to raise the inside temp. . I will say about a week ago I was messing with the heat and started the car a couple times and each time there was blazing hot heat came out for a few seconds then disappeared.

Re: Climate control sensor

There are 4 sensors on the climate control system. Due to the complexity of the system, a scan tool must be used to diagnose it.

Don't you just love the technology in vehicles today? My 1950 truck has a screw thumb to increase the coolant flow thru the heater in the winter and a mechanically operated flap in front of the wind shield to bring more hot air into the cab in the summer. No scan tools needed.
