Re: WIP: Peugeot 205 Turbo16

Hohoooww, I'm sorry to say that now but your reference picture is false !!
this may come from a rebuilt T16 because Engine valve covers were not red but "goldish aluminium" (iron ?)...
moreover your picture show a Evo2 engine not an evo1...

here is MC85 engine:

don't know if you care but I wanted to point this out to you, hoping you won't and me for saying that too late.

Re: WIP: Peugeot 205 Turbo16

A couple months ago, I talked with some people in the historic documentation dept. in the Peugeot museum, and they told me that all original 205 valve covers (competition) were finished in that strange gold/aluminum color, and all 405 valve covers were gold/aluminum or polished gunmetal.

So, those red valve covers should be from a rebuilt car, or a street 205.

Hope this info helps!

Well, right colour or not. I do think it looks promising.

And the painting is done very well and clean (only a shame that you'll have to strip it )

Well, you don't HAVE to

I think you are doing a great job, and those valve covers can be the color you want them to be. It is just a matter if you have fun replicating all the details of a car.

Re: WIP: Peugeot 205 Turbo16

Hy!

The assumption legitimate,I foreshadowed it something things like this, but may be it after all I reference my picture the equivalent

It shows the engine compartment of the ready maquette on the front of a guide, and seems me in that manner this stands near to my version, than to the one showed by you (evo1?)

I see it at the exhaust mostly the difference.

But independent from the truth,I believe what never turns out possibly rather I stay at that version what I selected

Thanks for the comments
