Has there been an Extension on Warranty??

A buddy at work asked me to find out-- he has 72,000 miles and his front wheel bearing is starting to growl. He said he received something in the mail awhile back- about warranty extension- but can't find it now-- does anyone know?? Thanks

Re: Has there been an Extension on Warranty??

The only thing I received in the mail was about 2 months ago. They are extending warranty coverage for the issue of

"some vehicles may develop a small crack at the base of the fuel fill tube near the fuel tank that can allow fuel vapors to escape and cause liquid fuel to drop to the ground during refueling and normal driving"

General motors is providing no charge replacement or reimbursement with 10 years of the date your vehicle was originally placed in service or 150,000k whichever occurs first.
