the list
I have a 96 jimmy 4.3L W code 4WD AT 4 door
the list 1.when I turn on the turn signal the volts drops with the flashing 2. sometimes putting it in reverse will drain the volts 3. sometimes pressing the brakes will also drain the volts 4. the blower motor will drain the volts down these are most pronounces when raining 5. the power seat does not work 6. the doom light was staying on all the time, have not checked recently -took the bulb out 7. the light by the drivers shins stays on all the time 8. rear wiper worked, stoped working and just recently started working again 9. 3rd brake light does not work 10. pas. side rear window stopped working 11. rear glass hatch release pops when- I put the fuse in randomly when nothing is being done pressing the release button -but not always works when pressing the lock or unlock button when opening the drivers door, usually just lifting the handle will do it 12. hinge is cracking free from the vehicle- drivers door upper hinge 13. 4wd doesn't work - more on that later 14. more that I'm not remembering at the moment AND just did the 98 jeep grand steering shaft swap, one problem fixed/amazing difference need help or a different vehicle |

For items 6 - 7. Check your door pins to ensure that they are operating properly. Door Pin switch should read open in the inward position and closed in a outward position. Check your rear glass switch as well. Anyone of them can cause your dome and floor lights to stay on. Item 10. Open door panel and remove the power connector from the window motor. se volt meter and test the 2 pins inside the connector for 12volts when operating the window switch. Ensure that the ignition switch is in the on or start position. If voltage is present. Replace window motor. If no voltage test and operate from the dirver side main control window switch. Chech to ensure that the window lock switch is in the normal position and test for voltage. |
