car trys to start without the key turned on

Hello
I have a 95 monte carlo 3.1 i had the car started for 5 min then i shut the car off when i went to restart the car it did not turn over but something was running and making alot of noise it made like something was spinning till it killed the battery. now when I try to boost the car with no key in the ignition soon as I touch the booster cable to the battery the car trys to start

do you have a meter? this could be starter or ignition switch....

Yes we looked at it over the weekend and hit the starter with a hammer knocked the Bendix back in place. Got it started drove it into town to get a starter put on.
