What are good #'s for a 2.4 compression test?
I was changing the plugs on my 97 Z24 a few days ago and figured why not check the compression while I had the plugs out. So I ran the test and got 210 PSI + or - about 3 PSI on all cylinders (sounds pretty helthy to me). So I looked it up in my worthless Haynes manual and couldn't find any reference on these numbers (couldn't even find a compression ratio for a 2.4). So does anyone know what is to be expected from a 115K motor? Also, just out of curiosity, what is the compression ratio of these motors?
