error 1404, bad EGR valve.. or is it

I had this error code, got a new EGR valve and had the codes cleared. The same code came back with the new one. Is it possible I have some kind of ECM malfunction and its sending a false positive. Can I reset the ECM. I have heard something about reflashing the ECM. Is this an involved process, does it have to be sent out, is it worth it. Any thoughts would help, its not really a huge deal. The car runs fine, good gas mileage, the EGR pintle seems to move fine.

Re: error 1404, bad EGR valve.. or is it

I did some research on my own and came up with this helpful article. I'll see if that does the trick.
