1993 park avenue horn

1) when I start the car ..3 out of 5 times the horn sounds until the dash bulb check goes off
2)will also sound a quick honk when shifting from park to drive
3)cruise control would kick out when driving ...now it doesn't engage at all
4)once in awhile the trunk will open when I turn on the interior lights
5)horn relay is good....could all this be a bad rac module? my neighbours hope so..how do OI check it??

the rac module wouldn't have anything to do with the cruise control, but could be causing the other issues. You should start with the horn sounding while you start the car since it is so consistent. You could either cut the wire that the rac module uses to ground the horn relay and see if it still happens. Or you could try removing the rac module relays and see if it still happens. It would be more conclusive if you cut the wire from the rac to the horn relay, but removing the relays could work too but i'm thinking it will affect other things rather than disable the module.

to cut the wire you have to cut it on the rac module side of the circuit, the horn switch has to be able to complete the circuit.
