won't go in reverse

I have a 2001 automatic, won't go in reverse. Replaced brake light switch. Is there anymore switches or senors I need to check?

Re: won't go in reverse

yes, you can put the shifter on reverse, & it's just like you put it in neutral. there's no difference between reverse & neutral. the engine doesn't change speeds or anything.

Re: won't go in reverse

sounds like the fluid level is low in the transmission. I would have it checked by a vw shop or dealer.
